An expressive and charming mid-century still-life painting, executed in oil onto board.

A small garden table is adorned with a red vase filled with an energetic arrangement of green leaves and white and red flowers. The table also holds two blue glasses and an assortment of fruits. The scene is set against an abstract backdrop in shades of peach and blue.

The colour palette is rich and warm, creating a vibrant and uplifting composition. The thick and dynamic expressive brushstrokes add a sense of liveliness and a textual quality.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary gilt frame with an inner linen border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has very minor scuffs on its inner border.
