Portman for Saporiti in 1974. … more 4 exceptionally rare Mid Century Modern Side Chairs or Armchairs designed by architect John C. Portman for Saporiti in 1974. A single-piece, continuous, chromed steel frame holds the upholstered seat and back of this armchair. The refined work done to create the metallic frame adds a precious style to the pure lines of this chair. The chairs were designed as a part of the Entelechy Series, which feature characteristic shape of the armrest and legs done in chrome plated steel. Chairs are upholstered in blue velvet. Made in Italy in 1980s. Very good vintage condition with some signs of time and use. When purchased the chairs will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport.
