While searching for local items on Chairish, art lover Zoe Bonnette found an elegant sculpture for which she knew she would find a perfect spot in her home. After some adjusting, the statue depicting mother and child now lives in her eclectic living room. How did you find the item you bought on Chairish, and what made you choose it? Did you have a specific search or were you just browsing?
I filtered my search to browse for local items as they are easier to see in real life and then I picked it right up!
Did you know where you’d put this piece in your home when you bought it, or did you figure you’d find the right spot?
I knew I would find the right spot — I always do, even if I have to move things around some.
Why do you love shopping vintage? And how does sustainability factor into your choices of new products vs. vintage finds?
I find vintage often is more unique and better quality than newer things. Plus, I do love choosing history over the new and I adore having things that no one else has!
Are there any dream vintage or antique pieces you wish you could have?
I would love to have a vintage Bartolozzi and Maioli wood and brass broad leaf lamp.
