What other types of chandeliers are there besides crystal?

If you’re looking to do a total 180 from the crystal chandelier, you can’t do better than a sputnik chandelier. The sputnik chandelier consists of a center globe from which dozens of spiky arms capped with lightbulbs protrude. While undeniably retro, the sputnik chandelier is a style chameleon that’s able to play equally well with modern and traditional styles. Alternatively, Murano chandeliers are elegant and shapely chandeliers composed of richly colored, blown glass. For anyone on the hunt for a bucket list item like a pink chandelier or a black chandelier, a Murano chandelier may be your best bet. Also an option? Acrylic chandeliers. Popular throughout the latter half of the mid 20th Century, acrylic chandeliers come in an array of different designs, but are most commonly found in a style known as “ribbon chandeliers.”

If you can’t shake the notion of a beaded chandelier entirely, there are also plenty of chandelier options that swap traditional beaded crystals for beads in other materials. Wood beads, shells, and stones are all common items to find incorporated into striking chandeliers.
