Throw blankets come in many different sizes, but a standard-size throw blanket typically measures about 50 inches by 60 inches. Translated to feet, that’s approximately 5 feet by 4 feet, making a standard throw blanket large enough to wrap around yourself, but compact enough that you can easily fold it and store it away. Of course, throw blankets vary tremendously in size. Small throws measuring about 40 inches by 40 inches are often marketed as baby blankets or “receiving blankets,” and are widely available. On the other end of the spectrum, extra large throw blankets often measure about 60 inches by 80 inches, and are large enough to fit corner to corner on a queen-size bed.
