This year we spent more time scrolling Instagram than we’d like to admit–who’s with us?–but the tradeoff was tapping into some wildly chic design inspiration. From dramatic color statements to wallpapers that wow, Instagram served up loads of ideas that were too good to miss. But just in case you did, our social team is revisiting some of the most loved rooms featured on Chairish’s Instagram in 2019. Y’all ready for this?
There’s so much to love about this velvet reading nook designed by Portland-based designer Jessica Helgerson. From the built in storage solutions to the various lighting sources, we’d love nothing more than to spend an afternoon here tackling our latest book club pick.

If you’re looking to refresh your space in 2020, you can’t go wrong with wallpaper in the bathroom. This bright and cheery print from Hygge and West steals the show in Danielle Burkleo’s 1850 farmhouse bathroom.
Can you say drama queen? We’re loving this moody and monochrome take on the colored kitchen cabinet trend, designed by Studio Sven. Accented with a pop of red and mixed metallics, this open-concept kitchen is full of personality.
In this master bath designed by Mackenzie Craven, it’s all about the deets. An intricate floor-to-ceiling tile creates a stunning backdrop for bold black accents and a vanity done up in Benjamin Moore’s luscious Essex Green.
Yes, you can mix bold tile with an even bolder wallpaper! Polished off with gold accents and chinoiserie-style mirror, we’re green with envy for this maximalist Art Deco bathroom designed by the textile power couple behind Divine Savages.
We’re bananas for bold color statements like this beautiful blue foyer by The Guest House Design Studio. Swathed in Farrow & Ball’s Stiffkey Blue and illuminated by sophisticated pendants, file this space under “Entryway #Goals” STAT.

Welcome to relaxation station. From the calming blue walls to the unique tile to the clawfoot tub of our dreams, this bathroom by Russian designer Ekaterina Lovyagina is a breath of fresh air.
You’ve probably seen this Gucci wallpaper all over Instagram, but we just can’t get enough! Perfectly paired with a delicious daybed, kooky Lalanne-style sheep, and a fluffy pendant light that’s everything, we’re cuckoo for this chic-to-the-max nursery designed by Tamara Magel.

2019 was certainly the year marvelous bathrooms took center stage. Seattle-based designer Michelle Dirkse serves up a masterclass in tile style with this black and white dream shower, complete with both penny and subway tile. Black and white and chic all over, it’s no wonder this was our most-liked photo of the year!
