Chic, Sunny Florida Homes

With large windows, bright blue and green accents, and neutral, textured furnishings, this Palm Beach living room designed by Sherrill Canet embodies an elegant indoor/outdoor look.

From a bright and trendy Miami condo to a sun-filled traditional estate in Vero Beach, these homes will have you wishing for warmer weather. Florida is hot right now (quite literally) and designers in the Sunshine State are busier than ever. See how some of our favorite design pros in the country create warm and inviting spaces that feel both tropical and top-notch.

  • In this Miami guest house designed by Amy Lau, the owners’ contemporary art collection is paired with vintage Italian furnishings. The white walls, floors and ceiling create a crisp backdrop that elevates the art and furniture and feels soothing against the city’s sultry weather.

  • Design firm Taylor & Taylor updated this two-story cottage on Sunset Key, a private island south of Key West, with a high-design look that fits with the coastal setting but doesn’t feel like a typical beach home.

Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace complements the floor-to-ceiling windows and creates a clean backdrop for the furniture, which includes a Thayer Coggin sofa, Lee Industries ottoman and vintage tables. A shag rug adds a soft, family-friendly touch.
