Shop Palm Springs Like Never Before

Anna Brockway poses in her car trunk with yellow Eames chair, vintage globe, and shopping bags

A bit of Palm Springs treasure hunting is always a good idea, especially when our fearless leader, Anna Brockway, leads the way to this desert design mecca’s insider haunts. Cruising from shop to shop in a brand-new Stelvio by Alfa Romeo, Anna loaded up the trunk with vintage gems along the way. Discover the shops that belong on every design devotee’s Palm Springs agenda. “Zipping around town in this little cherry red number was a total dream,” says Anna.

Christopher Kennedy Store

One of the first stores I visit is Christopher Kennedy’s. He’s a friend, talented designer, author, shop owner and fellow dog lover. He has a fantastic selection of Mid-Century Modern furniture, art, design books (including his!) and eclectic gifts, including a few for beloved pooches. Add this to your must-see list.

Towne

Towne offers rare and hard-to-find vintage items that epitomize the Palm Springs aesthetic. You’ll find a mix of modern and vintage furniture, decor and accessories to provide your home with style and whimsy. Don’t miss our home tour of the Towne founder’s fabulous Palm Springs pad!

Soukie Modern

At Soukie Modern, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled into the chicest Moroccan souk ever, with rugs piled sky high. Like Towne, it’s located in The Shops At Thirteen Forty Five, so one visit packs a lot of shopping punch. Seriously consider treating yourself to one of their fluffy clutches made of Moroccan textiles.

A La Mod

One of the largest curated collections of Mid-Century pieces can be found at A La Mod. Here you can count on finding original Knoll, Eames, and Charles Hollins Jones treasures. Owners James Claude and Miguel Linares have an ever-changing curation of high-quality wares including furniture, lighting, art, and sculpture. So if a trip to PS isn’t in the cards any time soon, you can shop them online on DECASO.
