Founder of her own full service interior design firm, Atlanta-based Laura W. Jenkins was looking for something unique and chic for her home. Honing in on pendants of a very particular size, she found a brass and lucite fixture that added the perfect amount of shine and pizzazz to her space. In a few words, how would you describe your interior design style?
I love mixing old with new pieces to create unique and authentic spaces for myself and my clients.
How did you find the item you bought on Chairish, and what made you choose it? Did you have a specific search or were you just browsing?
I was browsing brass pendants of a certain size and found this one which was also in my price range. It was a unique mixture of materials and added just the right amount of jewelry to our space.
Why do you love shopping vintage? And how does sustainability factor into your choices of new products vs. vintage finds?
I love shopping vintage because it adds to the various layers of a room and makes the whole space more unique. Sustainability is a huge upside to shopping vintage as well, and is always a consideration when comparing a new item to a vintage one.
Are there any dream vintage or antique pieces you wish you could have?
I would love a piece by Axel Einar Hjorth.
