NASHVILLE DESIGN WEEK | NOVEMBER 4–8
This November, Nashville’s most innovative designers and creators will gather once again for Nashville Design Week. For five whirlwind days, dozens of exhibitions, workshops, and talks will take place all over the city in an effort to merge the worlds of UX, tech, architecture, and fashion while showcasing the most exciting up-and-coming trends and techniques.
HOLIDAY HOUSE NYC | NOVEMBER 13–15
This year, the annual the Holiday House NYC will be taking place at a new location: Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Led by its founder, interior designer and breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner, the showhouse donates 91 cents of every dollar raised directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Tour spectacular rooms teed up by today’s most blockbuster designers and enjoy dynamic panel discussions, as well as pop-up shops. The Opening Night Gala will take place November 13th and the showhouse will be open to public November 14th and 15th.
SALON ART + DESIGN | NOVEMBER 14-18
Salon Art + Design will be returning to the Park Avenue Armory in New York City for its ultra-curated exhibit featuring 56 leading art and design galleries from all over the world. Known for its distinctive mix of historic and contemporary pieces, this is the kind of event collectors plan their year around.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE | OPENS NOVEMBER 14
This November and December, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles will be hosting its annual Home for the Holidays Showhouse at a historically styled Saltbox house in Sandy Springs that’s been beautifully reimagined by Frank Heery of Harrison Design. The newly reworked 5,500-square-foot showhouse – expertly designed with entertaining in mind – will feature the work of no less than twenty interior designers!

This year, Design Miami celebrates its 15th edition. Alongside Art Basel Switzerland, Design Miami has proven itself as one of the world’s premier marketplaces for high-end collectible design, assuming position of one of the globe’s pinnacle celebrations of modern and contemporary design. ASIAN ART MUSEUM – CHANGING AND UNCHANGING THINGS: NOGUCHI AND HASEGAWA IN POSTWAR JAPAN |SEPTEMBER 27 – DECEMBER 8
This exhibit, featuring over 100 artworks, tells the story of the friendship between sculptor/designer Isamu Noguchi and painter/philosopher Saburo Hasegawa while exploring how their work shaped the Mid-Century Japanese aesthetic that still resonates today. Count on it giving you a whole new perspective the next time you spot a Noguchi Akari lamp or Cyclone table!
WES ANDERSON – JUMAN MALOUF: IL SARCOFAGO DI SPITZMAUS E ALTRI TESORI | SEPTEMBER 20 – JANUARY 13
After dazzling at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna earlier this year, Wes Anderson and Juman Malouf’s curated show “Il Sarcofago di Spitzmaus e Altri Tesori,“ has found a home in Milan’s Prada Foundation. The couple’s exhibition includes 537 artworks that span the last 5,000 years, arranged into collections that break the boundaries of how art is categorized and presented. The exhibit will be at the Prada Foundation until January 13th. Fingers crossed the next stop is the U.S.!
Marisa Marcantonio’s Hot Pick: Il Fiorista
We asked our director of trade, Marisa Marcantonio, to share a new NYC spot that’s revving her design engine as of late. Her pick? Nomad’s Il Fiorista, which is currently earning a buzz for its mouth-watering Mediterranean menu enhanced by the flavors of edible flowers. The bright whimsical restaurant, designed by architect Elizabeth Roberts, also acts as a space for workshops ranging from flower arrangement to ink-making. Talk about bringing flower to the people!
