Where To Eat:
I’m a West London girl but love going across town to try new spots and return to old favorites. Luca in Farrington does the best Italian – their parmesan fries are not to be missed! The Towpath Cafe, perched on the edge of the canal in De Beauvoir is a very unique spot; the food is always great and you literally can watch the world go past. Best on a sunny summer’s day. The original Petersham Nurseries in Richmond is my treat spot. Set in a glass greenhouse you feel a world away from the madness of central London and it is so magical set under twinkly lights at night.
Where to Sip:
Coffee at All Press Dalston and cocktails in the Ladder Shed at Chiltern Firehouse.
Where To Relax:
In a totally secluded spot in the middle of Hampstead Heath with a bottle of rosé, someone who makes me laugh, and some delicious pieces from a local deli.
Where to Shop:
Portobello Market on a Friday morning. I have found so many cherished pieces here. It’s very tempting working nearby, and I usually leave home especially early to give myself a little time to browse before arriving at the office! Scarlett & Violet have the best variety of flowers and foliage, and the shop alone is the dreamiest set. Liberté Chérie for zero waste kitchen stores, and Pentreath & Hall for prints and covetable home accessories.
Where to Get Inspired:
The little known print room at the V&A Museum is bursting with archives that are accessible to anyone, you just need to book ahead. A great starting point.
Where To Stay:
Chiltern Firehouse is to me still the best. Its location in the heart of Marylebone is in the middle of everything, and the attention to detail and service is impeccable.
Where to Escape:
There are so many spots outside London that are so easy to access on a short train ride. Charleston House, home of the Bloomsbury group, is so worth a trip, and nearby Lewes has great antiques shops so it makes for the perfect day trip.
