Hallway
In a foyer or a hallway, suspend chandeliers or pendants so that their bottom edge is at least 6 inches higher than your door opening. If you’ll be punctuating a hallway with a series of pendant lights, observe a distance of at least 8 feet between fixtures.

Bathroom

Typically, pendants over a vanity should be hung at least 2 feet from the ceiling.

Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant in the middle of a bedroom, ensure there is at least 7 feet of clearance between the bottom of the fixture and the floor. If your ceilings measure in at anything under 8 feet, you may want to consider a more profile-conscious flush mount.
