Like us, designer Betsy Burnham is on a mission to help you create a more chic and unique home. Along with her team of pros, Betsy founded “Instant Space,” a new design resource where you provide room specs, lifestyle needs, and style preferences and get back a furniture plan, color palette, fabric map and relevant purchasing information. Since what we’re most inspired by right now is all the amazing art to be had in the Chairish Print Shop, we asked Betsy to take on our Instagram challenge and create an entire room using the Chairish app’s Augmented Reality feature, being sure to factor in a few of her favorite Print Shop pieces. Discover how this pro put together one stunning room in well, practically an instant.

The Inspiration
Of her overall design scheme, Betsy shares that she was “in a springtime state of mind. Pastel colors mixed with neutrals, and organic materials juxtaposed with manmade ones, are what’s making me very happy these days.”
The Prints
“From the Chairish Printshop, I pulled two small pieces, both by artist Melvin G., that were abstract and colorful, and I mixed them with a large, graphic black-and-white piece by artist Angela Blehm. I love them all together.” Aiming for a freeform mix is how Betsy generally approaches artwork. “Collecting art, to me, is all about appreciating different mediums and different styles, and finding things you love and mixing them all together,” she explains.
The Accents
Betsy used the room’s largest surface to play with shapes, colors, and textures, giving the room a sense of lived-in layering. “I really enjoyed mixing the prints with a collection of sculptural items that I put on the credenza,” she says.
