‘Tis the season to set the table, but sometimes your meal’s mise-en-scène needs a muse. Cue the reach for your phone and the dive into Instagram for some table decor eye candy. Skip the hashtag search and head straight for these chic accounts, which are chock full of insanely gorgeous table settings guaranteed to get your creative juices flowing. Whether you’re looking to channel Auntie Mame or pretend your table is set in the French countryside, we’ve got the feeds you need to get your party started.
1. Eddie Ross
If monogrammed linen napkins and vintage Tiffany dinnerware are your jam, then you’re probably already a fan of entertaining guru Eddie Ross. Not surprisingly, his feed is full of his exuberant, colorful, and creative table settings (curtain panels often feature as tablecloths), not to mention his latest vintage tableware acquisitions. His inspired ideas are available offline as well, thanks to his book Modern Mix.
2. Local Milk
We’re all about the vintage cutting boards, brass, and mismatched chairs that feature prominently on Local Milk, Beth Kirby’s beautifully muted world devoted to what she calls “the art of slow living.” Her food styling and photography workshops are stunning, and if less is more on your table, this is the feed for you.
3. Casa de Perrin
Los Angeles-based luxury tabletop company Casa De Perrin has set the tables for tons of stunning events through their rental offerings, and lucky for us they use Instagram to share their latest creations. Their feed is also particularly handy if you need a quick refresher on proper fork and knife placement (we’ve all been there).
4. Eye Swoon
Tastemaker Athena Calderone, the discerning eye behind Eye Swoon, describes herself as a “culinary storyteller” and her dinner parties are truly a feast for the senses. She layers natural elements, sumptuous textures and tones to create killer table settings, but her elegant approach to plating dishes lets the food be the real star of the show. Her new book, Cook Beautiful, is finding a spot on chic shelves everywhere.
5. La Tuile à Loup
When you specialize in the best of French tableware, which Eric Goujou’s cult-favorite Paris store La Tuile à Loup does, setting a stunner of a table comes with the territory. You’ll spot some unique and crush-worthy combinations on his feed, especially if one-off dessert plates and animal motifs feature prominently in your own tableware collection. Anyone who uses quilts as chic table coverings is our kind of entertainer.
6. Mimi Thorisson
As a mom, cook, author, and TV host living in Médoc France, Mimi Thorrison‘s bucolic existence is downright dreamy. The idyllic dinner parties featured on her feed, not to mention her popular blog Manger, are as lovely and chic as you’d expect. Vintage flatware, a hint of hemstitch, and a health dose of transferware have never looked so good.
