Here are some of our favorite stories from around the web this past week. Enjoy the eye candy!
- DTLA is home to a brand new Mediterranean eatery, Bavel, freshly outfitted by Studio UNLTD. The lush ceiling planters, custom tile work, and unexpected pops of color have us dying for a reservation; Wallpaper has your look around!
- How could we not share this recipe from Half Baked Harvest? Cherry tomatoes, burrata, and caramelized onions are what pizza dreams are made of.
- We wouldn’t mind spending the last few weeks of summer OOO in this idyllic cottage on the tiny Swedish island of Gotland. With vintage details and warm, rustic interiors, (not to mention a converted pink bus out back) this spot is perfect for a quiet, rural escape from reality. (My Scandinavian Home)
- Elle Decor has a fab tour of Beth Bugdaycay’s TriBeCa penthouse. She’s the former CEO of Rebecca Taylor, current designer for jewelry line Foundrae, and clearly has a keen eye for style. Her home has struck a balance of modern architecture, eclectic art, and carefully selected custom furniture to create a stunning space.
- Everything about this West London home needs to be seen to be believed. Built in the 1840’s, the 5 story home was overhauled by Maddux Creative and the results blend modern glamour with plenty of nods to period details. House and Garden UK has the full tour.
