The Cyrus family is music industry royalty, and behind the scenes, managing careers, producing, and all the while embracing a personal passion for design, is Tish Cyrus. Married to legendary singer, songwriter Billy Ray Cyrus and manager for two of her daughters, pop superstar Miley Cyrus and singer Noah Cyrus, this mother of five recently starred alongside her daughter Brandi in Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer, a decorating competition and makeover show rolled into one. Given their obvious design chops, we asked Noah, Tish, and Brandi (all pictured above), to share their favorite Mother’s Day gift ideas for giving…and getting! What are some vintage goodies you love to gift?
“For gifts, I absolutely love vintage glassware. I bought my dear friend the cutest vintage purple glasses from Chairish. I got the idea from Miley. She bought me vintage marble goblets that currently sit in my beach house. They’re so beautiful and I always admire then when I’m in the kitchen.”
How would you describe your design style?
“Brandi always tells me I’ve become California Boho Chic. Is that a style? I love clean lines, but it has to feel warm, homey and welcoming. We as a family love to come together so I never want it to feel stuffy where someone feels like they can’t kick their feet up. That’s the Nashville gal in me.”
How do you approach designing spaces for your kids?
“I want to create a space that will be functional yet will celebrate their individuality, and reflect their style. Additionally, I always consider how quickly kids grow and change, so the space should be easily adaptable.”

How would you describe your mom’s design style?
“I always call it West Coast Contemporary meets Modern Chic.”
How has your mom’s design style influenced yours?
“I’ve definitely inherited her boho flair, and we have very similar tastes in textures and color palettes. My aesthetic is also definitely eclectic, and I’d say it’s a mix of southwestern boho and east coast minimalist.”
What do you love about decorating with vintage pieces?
“My favorite part is that you’re getting something unique that chances are, no one else has! I also love the juxtaposition it can create when paired with newer pieces and styles.”
